Litzelstetten is a small village located at Lake Constance in the very south of Germany, close to the Swiss border.
The lake is like a huge radiator, as it stores the heat it absorbs in the summer, to keep the winters at Lake Constance very mild and frost free - when the rest of southern Germany freezes to -20C! The lake freezes on average, once every 50 years. The warmth of the lake helps the region to get a head start on the rest of Germany in Spring - as the region is renouned for it excellent fruit and vegetables.
I like to get out on my bike to tour through the beautiful countryside at my doorstep.
Click on the photos for some Spring impressions of the region!
