Karwendelgebirge, Austria - Sep 2002 |

| Hiked with Michael and Uta in the Karwendelgebirge (Karwendel Mountains) in Austria in September 2002. This mountain Range is located close to the German border with Austria in the Karwendel National Park in Austria. We did the tour from Hagelhuetten (1077m) up to Plumsjoch (1921m). The route was hard to find at times as the summer rain this year had left its spur, washing away the route in places. The weekend weather hadn't been great this year, but we had a fine day for hiking, although a thunder storm almost caught us on the way back down. We ran down the mountain and had to sprint the ast mile to get to the car as it rained cats and dogs. Click on the photos to see more... |
