Lake Constance with its vast 48,000 cubic metres of water is Central Europes largest potable water reservoir, supplying water to the whole of Southern Germany.
Lake Constance is an ideal location for cycling, as there are hundreds of Kilometers of Cycle Paths off the beaten track, away from the traffic.
Bernd, Michael and Myself took the 'Untersee / Lower Lake' part of Lake Constance by storm in June 2002. The day was hot and the pace was even hotter - but we had time for a beer in a Biergarten in Stein-am-Rhein in Switzerland.
