The Kaiser Mountain range (Kaisergebirge) is located to the east of Kufstein in Tirol, Austria. The Kaisergebirge is divided into two mountain ranges, namely the 'Zahmer Kaiser' (Tame Emperor) and the 'Wilder Kaiser' (Wild or Mad Emperor), according to the ruggedness of the mountains.
I choose the more rugged and challenging 'Wilder Kaiser' mountains for this hike, all the way up to the highest peak 'Ellmauer Halt at 2344m. That was a mixture nice cool forests at the start to extreme cliff climbing and walking the tight rope at times. A real challenge!
